One of the purpose of Higher Education is to facilitate and support the development in morality and humanity, i.e., the growth of personality of University students. The author is now developing a new style of small class teaching which can contribute to the growth of personality by using the "guided reflection " (Reyman,A. 1977) in small group setting. In order to test the effectivity of the guided reflection in small class, a special course, five-day intensive seminar named "Self and Others", was held in the R.I.H.E., Kobe University in 1998 and 2000.The present paper reports the design, the syllabus, the summary of teaching and learning, and the results in the special course, "Self and Others", in 2000. In the five-day seminar, five teachers participated and taught 2 or 4 lessons on each day of the five-day seminar as follwings, The first day: "Introduction to Interpersonal Relationship" by Kiyoshi Maiya, Socialpsychologist. The second day: "Lifecycle and Lifecourse of women" by Etsuyo Nishigaki, Socialpsychologist. The third day: "Experiencing Group Dynamics" by Mohamed Hafsi, Psychoanalyst. The fourth day:" Mentarity and Problem in Adolesence" by Shinichi Mizokami, Educationalpsychologist. The fifth day:" Encouter Group" by Tsunemi Tanaka, Educationalphylosopher. The teachers were skilled in group acitivity, e.g., leadership training, psychoanalytic group counseling, family therapy, e.t.c.. Thirty students registered in the course. But, eighteen of them were attended at the first day and the number of attendants decreased to thirteen at the fourth day. In quantitative evaluation which was based on the students' written comments and the interviews, it was suggested that each student got more or less new findings of one's personality as well as interpersonal tendencies (interpersonality) through the reflections and the interpersonal inter-actions in the seminar. Such findings are considered as the foundation of the growth of their personality and interpersonality.
