Abstract

This is a concordance to Arnaut Daniel's poems as found in the edition of James J. Wilhelm: The Poetry of Arnaut Daniel (New York: Garland Publishing, 1981). I compiled it with my own programs written in C language on a MS-DOS-operated computer. Due to the space limit I suppressed the following words: A, AB, AI, AL, CUM, DE, DEL, DELS, E, EL, EN, ET, E・L, LA, LO, LOS, NI, O, PER, UN. (These words are listed only with their frequency of occurrence.) The figure immediately after the headword shows the frequency of the word. After the verse comes its location: e.g. "12 Can chai la fueilla 47" refers the reader to the page number, to the title, and to the line number.

ダニエルについて

アルナウト・ダニエル（フランス語読みでアルノーとも、Arnaut Daniel）。1150年ころフランス南西の Riberac （現在のドルドーニュ県）に生まれる。1180-1210年ころトゥルバドゥール詩人として活動。プロヴァンス語（オック語）のリムーザン方言で書く。トゥルバドゥール中もっとも難解なスタイル（trobar clus, 密閉体）で書く。sestina 詩形（6行6連に3行の跋がつく）の発明者とされる。

ダンテが、当時主流のラテン語でなく俗語（イタリア語）による文学創作の可能性を高らかに宣言した『俗語詩論』で、俗語詩作の最上の実例としたのがダニエルの詩篇。俗語によるヨーロッパ近代詩の淵源はここに開かれた。その理論的マニフェストに基づきダンテは『神曲』を書く。イタリア語で書かれたダンテ『神曲』の中で、唯一ダニエルの言葉（「煉獄篇」第26歌140-147行）だけがプロヴァンス語で書かれている。

ダニエルはのちに二十世紀英語圏のモダニスト詩人T・S・エリオットやエズラ・パウンドに大きな影響を与えた。特に、その重要性を認めて現代に復活させようとしたパウンドの詩学において枢要な位置を占める。
